The Valley Event Center is a 120-foot wide by 250-foot long completely enclosed building. The facility houses an artificial ice-skating rink used for youth hockey and other community ice-skating related activities for people of all ages from October to March. The rest of the year the Valley Event Center provides a much-needed venue for the community.
Rental rates for the Valley Event Center are set by the HiLine Youth Hockey Association board of directors and are subject to change.
Rates as of July, 2014 are:
Lobby area - $125.00 per day
$75.00 per half day (4 hours)
Kitchen (commercially certified) - $125 per day
$75 per half day (4 hours)
Upstairs - non commercial rate - $150.00 per day
$85.00 per half day (4 hours)
commercial rate - $275.00 per day
$150.00 per half day (4 hours)
Full building - non commercial rate - $350.00 per day
commercial rate - $650.00 per day
If set up is required prior to the event,
a charge equal to 1/2 day's use will be incurred Set up fee to move/arrange bleachers = $150.00
Use of tables and chairs owned by V.E.C.
= $125 for tables/$75 for chairs - per event
Each user of the building must provide "special events liability insurance" in amounts satisfactory to HLYHA. In addition to the above rates, each event must provide a cleaning/damage deposit.

During skating season, the Valley Event Center is available for private skating parties. Cost is $90 for 1 1/2 hours and includes the first twelve pairs of rental skates for free.
